All About Gasoline
Think a gallon of gas is expensive? This makes you think, and also puts things in perspective:
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz. - $1.19 = $9.52 per gallon.
Ocean Spray 16 oz. - $1.25 = $10.00 per gallon.
Gatorade 20 oz. - $1.59 = $10.17 per gallon.
Diet Snapple 16 oz - $1.29 = $10.32 per gallon.
Whiteout 7 oz. - $1.39 = $25.42 per gallon.
Brake Fluid 12 oz. - $3.15 = $33.60 per gallon.
Scope 1.5 oz. - $0.99 = $84.48 per gallon.
Pepto Bismol 4 oz. - $3.85 = $123.20 per gallon.
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz. - $8.35 = $178.13 per gallon.
And this is the REAL KICKER . . . Evian water 9 oz. - $1.49 = $21.19 per gallon !!!
$21.19 for WATER, and the buyers don't even know the source (remember, Evian spelled backwards is Naive).
So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, Pepto Bismal or God forbid, Nyquil.
Just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump . . . and speaking of your next trip the pump, the following might be helpful in choosing where to buy.
The Saudis are boycotting American goods. An interesting thought is to return the favor by boycotting their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia.
Just buy from gas companies that DON'T import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family and friends.
I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from, and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell - 205,742,000 barrels.
Chevron/Texaco - 144,332,000 barrels.
Exxon /Mobil - 130,082,000 barrels.
Marathon/Speedway - 117,740,000 barrels.
Amoco - 62,231,000 barrels.
If you do the math at just $30/barrel (and $60+ per barrel will be a reality, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION!
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Citgo - 0 barrels.
Sunoco - 0 barrels.
Conoco - 0 barrels.
Sinclair - 0 barrels.
BP/Phillips - 0 barrels.
Hess - 0 barrels.
Arco - 0 barrels.
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.
Tell at least 10 people about this page and ask them to alert at least 10 of their friends. I know it sounds incredible, but if each of us tell ten more people about this page within one day of visiting it, 300 MILLION people could conceivably see it within the next eight days!
